ALTERNATIVE BENEFITS TABLES
Tired of having your characters muster out with an equal number of starships and blades? These alternative benefit tables weight the benefit away from high-credit options, providing a more realistic benefit distribution. Tables are included for all careers in the Traveller core rulebook as well as all three Career Books from Spica Publishing.

PHYSICAL FEATURES
Need to know if your character is too tall to make it through that hull breach? Career Book 3 gives you rules for determining a characters height, mass, skin tone, hair and eye colour, allowing anyone to quickly determine what their character looks like.

FAMILY BACKGROUND
Everyone comes from somewhere, and this system provides details of a character’s family, including parents and siblings, as well as how their Social Standing affects their livelihood. A Family Events table is included to help fill in what happened to a character before they turned 18.

NEW CAREERS
Fourteen new careers are presented including:

  • INHERITOR: The survivors of the end of the world fight their way back to the stars.
  • MARINER: Mariners are sea-going people, making a living working in, on, or under the ocean.

  • WASTELANDER: You live and work in the dangerous places where most people fear to go.

54 pre-generated characters, created using the careers in Career Books 1, 2, 3 and the Traveller core rulebook, are presented for when you need non-player characters in a hurry!

The Outer Veil Sourcebook

First off, here’s David Redington’s fantastic cover image for the Outer Veil sourcebook, by Omer Golan-Joel.

The Outer Veil is a complete game universe for the Traveller SF RPG. Set in the not-so-distant future, this sourcebook will allow players and Referees to adventure in the area of space close to Earth at a time when mankind is taking its first steps out into the galaxy! The Outer Veil sourcebook includes detailed background history and information, new setting-specific careers, starships and small craft statistics and deckplans, and a complete sector of space close to Earth! Spica Publishing is pleased to announce the release of its latest product for Mongoose Traveller – FIELD MANUAL!

Written by Bryan Gibson, who has provided art, conceptual designs and illustrations for Traveller for nearly thirty years, and Daniel W. Hammersley, who has written one sourcebook and five adventure modules to the Traveller TNE: 1248 line, Field Manual looks at the life and work of mercenaries both in and out of the Third Imperium.

FIELD MANUAL
From time immemorial there have been warriors. Men who fought not from need or as conscripts but as their trade.
Warriors are not a phenomenon unique to man; virtually every culture has warriors, from the Ancients to the Vargr and Aslan.
And where there are warriors, there are those who fight, not for clan, nation, race or creed, but rather for pay.

Welcome to Katringa!

System Book 1: Katringa is the first in a series of books from Spica Publishing that describes a complete planetary system and its society, and is designed for use with Mongoose Traveller or any science-fiction RPG. Katringa is a former corporate mining colony that is gradually being allowed more independence over time, although corruption still pervades the government.
